What we can do

In recent years authorities around Europe have prosecuted criminal gangs, resulting in fines and imprisonment, but much more has to be done. You can help.
What can we do about the trade in illegal pesticides?
In recent years authorities around Europe have prosecuted the criminal gangs responsible, resulting in fines and imprisonment. But much more has to be done.
Over the past year several major fake pesticide rackets have been broken, with those involved subject to financial penalties and prison sentences.
Targeted operations to break fake pesticide rings are currently underway across Europe and show highly positive results that enforcement authorities, police and industry work together. These inspections safeguard agriculture, the European food chain, human health and the environment, and make it clear that stamping out the trade of illegal products is possible.
Targeted operations to break the trade of counterfeit products are currently underway on countries including Spain, Italy, Germany, Poland, Hungary and Greece among others.
If you have suspicions about products you receive, report these to your distributor or the relevant local authority or agency. If you can’t find your national contact point on the list below, or if you have any questions or comments about this website, please use the form that follow the list.
